Truly an Art-Felt Experience

Thanks goes to Leah from Art Felt Studios, for without her, these amazing Tunisian camels would not exist :) Although it was a shortened week due to Family Day, we sure did pack a lot in!

We've been learning about Tunisian geography, history, and culture, and will soon begin our exploration of Ukraine. We've continued working with our guided reading groups and had a Words Their Way spelling assessment prior to adjusting our groups. We worked on our writing as we wrote a response about Peter Brown's The Wild Robot Escapes - Roz is now on the run, with help from Brightbill, after escaping Hill Top Farms. Will she make it back to the island safely? Or will Shadow or the Reco's catch and destroy her?

In Math, we've worked on problem solving and began our work with multiplication! Students are always excited to learn how to multiply. Of course, we enjoyed our time working in our Art Studio and thoroughly enjoyed learning about, and using wool and felt to create our camels. Our week ended with an assembly and Club Friday.

For next week:

Next Fun Lunch is Wednesday Feb. 27th

Wednesday Feb. 27th is also Pink Shirt Day - an anti-bullying campaign. We are focusing on teaching students to THINK before they speak. Is it: True, Helpful, Inspiring, Necessary, and Kind?

A Family Questionnaire's were sent home Thursday and are due back Thursday Feb. 28th

FYI:

Cranston Wear can now be ordered on-line through the Healthy Hunger Website - deadline to order is March 19th

Have a great weekend!
