Hello and welcome. Here we are at the end of another week. Time really does fly.
Science. We started a new unit this week. We began to investigate the nature of animals and learned about the growth and development of them and how their life cycles are similar or different.
Math. We continued to apply strategies for multiplication including skip counting, number line, arrays, grouping, and repeated addition.
Language arts. We finished our read aloud The City of Ember and we will begin a new read on Monday.
Social Studies. Global understanding and comparing quality of life. We finished our unit on India this week and passports were stamped. We have arrived in Kiev, Ukraine and are excited to learn about this amazing country.
P.E. We began gymnastics starting with rolls and maintaining balance and include more next week including equipment.
Next week:
We will be taking a trip to Bow Habitat on Thursday the 12th to tie in with our unit on animal life cycles.
New Words Their Way will begin on Monday.
Forms for swimming need to be returned by Friday the 13th.
