Welcome back and thank you for checking in with us :) Although it's often hard to return to work after a break, the plentiful smiles and excited conversations made the transition so much easier. Thank you! and I hope you too had a crazy fun, yet rewarding return to work.
This week marked some changes in direction as we moved away from Place Value, and toward computation beginning with double digit addition with regrouping. This is a fairly new concept for many of us, but with time and support we will be successful. In Language Arts, we continued working with Words Their Way and have a n ew set of words to practice for next week. We continued working with our guided reading groups, set up some book clubs, and even wrote a short story. In Science, we wrapped up our Hearing and Sound unit and began looking at our new Social Inquiry which asks us to examine factors that affect our Quality of Life.

We have began our Gymnastics unit in Phys. Ed. - please see the weekly for more information regarding proper clothing.

To NOTE:
We have finalized the schedule for our Swimming Week. We will be going on the mornings of March 4th to 7th at Canyon Meadows Aquatic Center and will be needing parent volunteers - please let me know if you're available and would like to join us.
