Connecting with the World

Welcome back and thanks for checking the blog! I hope you've all had an enjoyable and relaxing Spring Break :) We may have started back April 1st, but there was no time for fooling around as we got straight to work. Here's a snapshot of what we've been working on:

Social / Language Arts - students have began their research for an independent study of a country of their choice. This project started as a PowerPoint but may morph into a Google Slide presentation so they can access their work from home. These presentations will include geographical information such as climate, landforms, and location, cultural information such as holiday celebrations, religion, music & dance, sports, or food, and also include interesting facts or "must see" places to visit.

Math - we have continued our work with multiplication and have created Array City. We will begin looking at division next week.

Science - we have continued working on animal life cycles and took a closer look at how a trout's habitat changes throughout the life stages. We also started an independent research project for an animal of our choice. In this assignment, we will be required to identify the life cycle, habitat, adaptations, and environmental threats.

In gym, we worked on understanding our amazing bodies. Drumfit will begin next week.

Upcoming:

Wednesday is Fun Lunch

Parent Teacher interviews are April 17th & 18th - Bookings open on the 10th @ 4:00pm

Have a great weekend!
